I *think* we may a winner here. Brynn is my middle name, but I am really drawn to Mckenna for some reason too, and DH loves that it means "daughter of a handsome man" according to our baby book

I love the way Ava Brynn sounds together but I love the name Mckenna also. I can see where you are having a hard time! Sorry not much help, but FWIW, I think Ava Brynn flows better.

Baby books are, unfortunately, notorious liars and embellishers. In this case, firstly, "mc" and "mac" mean "son of" not "daughter of." Secondly, "Kenna" by itself is a feminine form of "Kenneth," and translates more closely to "born of fire". "McKenna" is "son of Kenneth," and the translation would be something like "Son of a man born of fire" and not "daughter of a handsome man."
I wonder, though, how many McKennas that book is responsible for...I can certainly see how it would add to the popularity of the name(though McK names are incredibly trendy and popular already), if it gives a meaning that strokes potential daddies' egos...

Ava Brynn for sure! That's my 3 year old daughters name and she gets a TON of compliments on it. I have never had anyone mention the hitler thing (I never knew that was her name). I adore the name and say go with your gut....if you love it....go for it!
If brynn is out, Brielle is a good name. My 5 year old is Hannah Brielle.

Brynn. I don't like the "Mc" names at all. I also don't care for how they both end in "a".
Ava Brynn is lovely and it's really cool it's your middle name too!
You're right that does sound nice also! LOL just what we need another name possibility, we are sooooo indecisive already.
This. Too close to Hitler's lady love for me.
I much prefer Ava Mckenna. I think Brynn is too short to match Ava.
That and the whole Eva Braun reference.
this
OMG you are so right, I didn't even think of the Hitler connection, ugh guess Brynn is out

No contest.
