Baby Furniture Warehouse in Braintree?

Has anyone been?  Any feedback?  Looking for our furniture, specifically a crib, and I feel like BRU does not have a big enough selection in store and I don't want to order something online without seeing it.  Just wondering if it is worth the drive from Providence... Thanks!

Re: Baby Furniture Warehouse in Braintree?

  • I have been in the store because it's inside Burlington Coat Factory, which I have gone in on numerous occasions. I think its hit or miss. Most of my friends tend to use Target and Babies R Us around here so I wouldn't say it's a "must see". However, don't completely go off of my opinion. It is near the South Shore Plaza in Braintree so if you wanted to make a day of shopping it may be worth the trip.

  • DH and I bought our baby's furniture there. I researched furniture first online, then called BFW to see if they had that style on the floor and they did. We bought Munire Furniture in Lexington in Espresso. They had many other brands as well, but I would call if you had a brand in mind. Also, keep in mind most of their furniture takes 10-12 weeks to come in (ours took 13, but Munire is known for longer wait times).

  • hi

Love it!! bought crib, dresser, nightstand and glider at BFW. i would suggest you go with an idea of what you want. they have many different styles and they almost all come in multiple colors/finishes. much nicer qualities than offered at BRU, IMO.

it did take a long time for the pieces to come in (the glider was quick!)... 2 weeks longer than we were originally quoted so just be prepared for that too. check them out online to get an idea...

     good luck!!

ps: the one in braintree is not inside burlington coat factory. it is on wood road but that  is near the South shore plaza mall. (which also has a Target :)) and BRU is only about a 10 min. drive from there, if you wanted to make a day of it.

  • Hello, I got my baby set in Braintree and so did all my friends. I loved their stuff. The price was great too. Just remember delivery takes time, so order early. I got mine in like ten weeks.

    Thanks

  • newcarsmel-thanks for clarifying. I was thinking of something else inside Burlington Coat Factory. It must be the baby Depot.

  • Thanks!  Went yesterday and thought it was great, so now we finally have a crib!- Or at least have finally ordered a crib...
  • The brands they have in BFW are more upscale than in BRU.  Better quality IMO.  The fact it's a warwhouse makes you think you're getting really good prices, but I actually got my crib at a little botique place down the cape because it was cheaper there than at BFW, by a significant amount.  I think it's worth going to check out the selection and prices, but once you decide what you want, shop around for the best price.

  • We just bought our nursery furniture at BFW on Saturday and had a great experience.  They have a great selection of high quality furniture and are very knowledgable about all of their products.

  • I purchased my stuff at the Baby Furniture Warehouse in Reading, MA and loved the selection.  It was almost too much for us to pick from!
