Have any of you ladies bought a baby swing? Or any second or third timers recommend one they absolutely love? I went online to search reviews on swings and the one I absolutely fell in love with had bad reviews about it being a fire hazard back in 2005. No idea if it has been corrected it or not. It was the Fisher Price Baby Lamb one. It had great reviews but when you look at the bad ones, they are all smoke and fire related which is really scary.
Any suggestions?
Re: Baby Swings?
Don't know how the Little Lamb swing could have anything related to fires since it does not come with an AC adapter, that swing runs on batteries. I have heard about issues with the motor but not fire or smoke.
We just got the Little Sunnglebunny swing by Fisher Price and have heard nothing but good things about it. This one comes with an AC adapter so we won't spend a ton of money on batteries.
I think the Snugglebunny is so cute! That is the one I am thinking of going with. Was it easy to build?
In regards to the little lamb one, it seems the motor smokes. Check out these reviews which made me concerned. I was shocked!

I bought the Graco Sweetpeace swing off eBay slightly used but in perfect condition. It retails for $179 and I got it for $90 shipped...
I hope he likes it. I liked it because it for one was a bear theme and super cute! And I read reviews and it seemed like it did pretty well. It also comes with an adapter so no batteries needed.
We got the FP little lamb swing. From what I have heard the smoking motor issues where resolved awhile ago. From all the swings we researched in our price point of under $200 it seems to be the best rated one overall, and came recommended to us from a couple friends that have babies. We got it on amazon for like $100 so it was a really good deal, so if the baby doesn't care for it it wont be a huge deal as spending $250 on a swing. The snugglebunny just came out, and plugs into the wall so that may be a better deal overall since it is the same thing minus the batteries which is why amazon and several other sights had the little lamb on sale, im sure it is being replaced by the snugglebunny since the #1 issue is constantly replacing batteries with non ac adapter swings.
We also got this travel one at our shower, so hopefully the baby likes one of them at least
There is also a larger non travel size swing to this one, but it doesnt have good reviews like the travel one does. https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Take-Along-Swing-Woodlands/dp/B001HTLP0M

We also got this swing and I love it! It plugs in to the wall so no batteries. It also can swing in two different directions and vibrates. The part the baby lays in can be taken out and used asa bouncer.
We just assembled ours today-- the FP Rainforest one. It's very cute, and the swing motor is very quiet. The mobile motor is a little louder, but whatever-- more white noise for the baby.
Also-- ours is a little defective. The button that turns the mobile on and off is really recessed and can only be switched by sticking a screwdriver back in there. DH put it together without paying attention to that, and we really don't feel like disassembling it and exchanging it. So I think we're just going to leave the mobile on all the time when the swing is on. We can turn everything (swing + sounds + mobile) on and off at the same time with a different switch.
we have the FP papasan swing. I can't remember what the design is now, but ours is a bumble bee. I like that has the option to swing in 2 different directions. I wishit plugged in to save on batteries, but the batteries do last a while, at least for us they do.
