Now that I'm feeling a bit less like a zombie, I thought I'd stop by and show off DS. He was born Monday, 1/17/11 at 3:52 pm @ 7 lbs 8 oz and 20 in long. We've had to take him to the pedi a couple times since being discharged to check his bilirubin - it has been hovering at 16 (doc says 18 and up would require treatment), but so far all is well. He also lost over a pound in his first four days, but has since gained back 4 oz since my milk finally came in (yes!!). BFing is going well, but we are both still learning, and we are having to supplement with formula in addition to nursing sessions until he gets back to his birth weight.

So, anyway Here is my boy! I hope you are all doing well.. I see more Feb mommas have become Jan mommas- off to do a little catching up while I have a minute!

I also became a January momma. Liam was born early on Friday morning! Good luck with Colin. Keep posting too cause I'd love to see how everyone is doing once baby is home.

Yep, I ended up with a c-section after 21 hours of labor. I dilated all the way to 4-5 cm, and then things just sort of came to a halt. They broke my water and put me on a ridiculous dose of pitocin, which caused me to have strong contractions 2 mins apart, but I still didn't dilate any more. I gave in and got an epidural at that point, and a couple hours later the doc said it was time to prep for a cesarian. I was really frustrated that things had to happen the way they did, but my little boy is here now, and we're both okay. That's all that matters. Smile

My recovery is going pretty well, thanks to my two friends, Percocet and Motrin And my mom is staying with us until the 31st, so she has been a HUGE help. She watches DS and lets us nap during the day so we don't lose our minds. I am so, so thankful for the help!
