Success after IF

Should I be worried or is this normal?

DD had her 2 month visit Monday and got 2 shots (DTaP and HiB) and an oral (Rotavirus). I know they said that the shots could possibly bother her: slight fever, sleepy, aggitated, etc. She did act differently that day and the next, slept a lot and was a little fussier than usual, but seemed back to normal by Wed. with the exception of being a little warm that night. However she seems to be eating less than she was before getting her shots. I mean it's not much but she was eating 4-5 ounces at every feeding and occationally eating 5 and 1/2. Now she eats 3-4 ounces with a few exceptions (ate almost 6 ounces once yesterday and maybe 5 ounces once or twice since Tuesday) and she even does this after sleeping for 5 hours at night. The only other difference I've noticed in her is that she is extra clingy this week. She cries when I put her down or leave her line of sight, not always but frequently, and she wants to sleep on me, if I put her down (swing, bouncer, crib) she wakes right up even though she was OUT when I was holding her.

I guess I'm just curious to know if this is all normal (maybe she's going through a growth spurt that coincided with the vaccines) or if the eating thing is something to be concerned about. Oh and she has been having regular wet diapers but didn't poo yesterday, did today and has had a lot of gas.

  • At that age, it could be so many things.  I would give it more time before calling a doc, but then again, those symptoms wouldn't necessarily worry me.

  • I agree with QT Those symptoms would not necessarily worry me. Babies do such odd things at that age, and it is just hard to know. I would definitely give it more time before calling the dr.
