Sizes in Children's Place

DRIVES ME NUTS! Jordana is tiny but has a long torso. SHe can easily were size 24 months for pants, even sometimes needs 18 months. The freaking shirts though there 24 months are too short but the next size is 3T and that just seems like it is going to be huge. Dresses she is 24 months though.

So there are few summer things I need to buy before we go to Florida in March and i found some cute things in CP but do I buy the 3T and let be a little big on her? In Gap, Old Navy, Gymboree, and Carters she needs 2T in shirts!

Re: Sizes in Children's Place

  • That's funny -- I was just shopping there today and noticed that there is no 2T.  Even though technically 24 months and 2T should be for the same age child, they are cut so differently.  I feel like 24 months is still cut for (bigger) babies, while 2T is cut for toddlers.  I can see this being a big problem with the twins -- they are just 8 months, but are wearing 12 month clothes in every brand now.

  • I always prefer big over small. Garrison has a super long torso too and actually can only wear 3t or bigger in everything, the CP 3t fits "ok" but Carter's and Gap fit well.  I hate it when she is playing and her belly shows when she lifts her arms up, feeling like I've got my kid in clothes that are too small really embarasses me

(she can also still wear most 18 month pants....)

  • I honestly have a hard time buying at The Children's Place.  I find that their clothes run very small and, like Jordana, Alana has a long torso (with short legs) and, after one washing, even the next size up tops become too short.

Sounds like Garrison is just like Jordana

  • And to add to I feel like I spend TONS of money on clothes for these kids, I mean the twins since Brady doesn't really need anything new.

Than I am going back and forth what size bathing suit to get her too, last year she wore 18 months but they were too small. I don't want to being buy all new clothes come June again!

  • Their sizing is so off.  Boys clothes their runs huge!  Aaron is tall and the 24 months stuff from CP is huge.  He can't even fit into the 24 months jeans I bought him cause they are gigantic on him.  They must think that boys are way bigger than girls.
