Sorry.
Is it common for babies' poop to firm up once they are eating a lot more solids and decreasing formula intake? They have gone from really soft (almost diarrhea consistency) for the past several months and now it's firm. Not rock hard, but sometimes ball-shaped. They don't seem to be straining much to poop, but it's just firmer now. (They still get 20 oz of formula a day and 8+ oz of water. They don't seem to be dehydrated.)
Sorry. Gross question.
Re: i'm *that* person asking a poop question
Yeah, gross question - all of us other moms have never thought about baby poop before
It's normal, they are obviously not dehydrated and if they aren't straining and are going everything is working fine.
In the ever so wise words of Shrek "better out than in" - whatever the consistency.
BTW - your LOs just keep getting cuter - and I didn't think that was possible from past pictures
Normal.
Once solids took over, DD had pretty much adult like poop. In fact, there are times when there's really no point in throwing away the diaper since it is so solid.
I think you will probably notice that they poop much less often as well.
