opinion: should I go to urgent care?

Sooo about 3 days ago I woke up w/ a WICKED sore throat. From there I had some sinus pain/pressure. Ok no biggie it's that time of year. Well since Thursday mid day I've had congestion that is Dark yellow/green and thick and the left side of my face right under my eye actually hurts and is tender to the touch. The sore throat is basically gone and it's all just this sinus stuff. But like my face HURTS. I have never had that ever! And I don't ever remember my snot being quite this disgusting... Thoughts?

Oh and I've done the humidifier, neti pot, steam shower, sudafed and tylenol all with minimal relief...

Yup. This happened to my ex once, and his pain was so bad we went to the ER.

No way! I definitely wouldn't go to ER. I am just wondering if it's best to just go now and get on antibiotics or if it's ok to wait till Monday.... I have just never had my face hurt like this! It's pretty bad, but def not ER quality. LOL

I think it depends on your pain level and how you are feeling. Like PP, I'd say it sounds like a sinus infection so you will probably need antibiotics anyway, but I don't think it's something that CAN'T wait. All depends on if you feel that it is worth the Urgent Care copay.

actually, the last time I took Addy to urgent care it was the same co pay as a regular office visit... does it normally differ?

Mine is higher, I think. Heck if it's the same, then I'd totally go!

Acupuncture works wonderfully on my sinus'! But also think that if it's really that bad, I would want to do something a little more for it.

This. I always went through my OB for everything when PG. His office was so much quicker and more organized!
