Lurker coming out of hiding & ? about 30 day shred

I just ordered in on Amazon & I am super excited to start. I just hope I can find the energy & motivation to do it everyday..which I havent had lately so hopefully this will help.

What would be a reasonable goal for the first 30days?

I would really like to drop 15lbs but thinking 10 maybe more reasonable.

Did you do anything else along with this workout other then eating better? ex:treadmill?

Any tips or advice?

  • From what I hear, people who have a decent amount of weight to lose and who haven't really worked out much will see pounds lost on the scale...but if you only have 10 lbs or so to lose, you may see a gain at first or may never lose weight, but will lose inches. Definitely take your measurements and before pics now, before you start! I'm not doing anything additional besides trying to watch calories and carbs, but some people do additional cardio and/or follow a diet and see better results that way. Good luck!

  • Thank you! I do have about 40lbs I can loose so hopefully I can see it pretty fast. Good idea on measurements & pictures i think this will be a good motivational thing for me incase I dont see it on the scale right away.

  • I highly suggest finding a time in your day where you know your LO is consistent with sleeping and work out during that time.  I wake up an hour before my LO does just to get my workout in.  I am notorious for pushing workouts off and wind up not doing it if I wait to do it later in the day.  I know its not much, but I've done 6 days of workouts consecutively, which I can say I've never done before. 

    I have not lost any weight on the 30 Day Shred yet but you should shift your focus more on losing inches and gaining strength and endurance.  Like I said, I've only been doing this 6 days and I already feel SO much better.  I take my measurements and weigh on Monday so we'll see how the first week turned out.

    I have not done any other exercise outside of the 20 min workout but am thinking I might if I don't see good enough results.
