I think my mom is losing her sh!T...

She just called me and told me, that she "read" the following...

Women TTC and pregnant, should not sleep with their dogs.  The dogs carry all of these germs, from walking in the street, into the bed. 

Then these germs are harmful to you and your fetus.

I really think she is loosing it.  I told her that Rico is my first born, and he is welcome to sleep where he likes.  I'm CERTAIN that my dog, did not cause my miscarriage.

    That's similar to some of my Mom's gems from the past.  After my 3rd miscarriage, she concluded that it happened because I flew.  Ummm, I don't think I'm the first person to fly while pregnant.  I had to correct her on another occasion that being RH-  didn't cause my miscarriages either.  Once again, there are plenty of people out there that are RH- and have plenty of babies. Ugh!

    I hate cockamamay advice.. and I'm with you.. not kicking my luvies outta the bed!  Shoot, they are cleaner than most people! :-)

    haha I would be screwed because my two lab mixes sleep with us every night! My mom does some of the same stuff!!

    Oh, wow.  Yeah, I agree with you....it probably wasn't the dog's fault.  I'm sure your mom means well, though.

    Parents should not be allowed to read!!!  LOL!!!  I'm sure she meant well, I'm sorry.

    OMG, that is SO something my mom would tell me about!! LOL.

    I would agree, I highly doubt your dog had anything to do with your m/c. If anything I 'read' (insert eye roll) that dogs calm people and are good stress reducers...I have 3 dogs, so I should be stress free by now! haha

    such sound advice Hmm  I think she may be concerned that we treat our dog like a person, but she's not scaring me out of that!

    Well, our Cody sleeps with us every night - guess that's my problem.  Geez - you'd think they wouldn't print such ridiculousness.  I'm pretty sure our RE's would be mentioning that if it were true.  Mom's are silly sometimes.

    Knowing my mom...i'm CONFIDENT, it was not printed anywhere.  She heard it from a friend of a friends sister's mother's aunt.....

    and imagined reading it!

    Well no wonder I haven't had a baby.  I've been sleeping with a dog in my bed since I was 13.  I think I'm hosed forever.

    My mom told me she hopes I don't raise our future babies like I do our dog. Apparently letting my dog sleep with us and letting her on the couch means my kids will be spoiled brats.

    O my goodness-hopefully my mom doesn't read that because she'll be on the horn with me about it pronto. 

    The things our mothers say-they think they are helping but in all actuality, not so much.

    One day we'll be able to call our sons and daughters and bug them with crap we 'read' too. :)

    I heard that on the radio yesterday morning. My dog sleeps with us every night and not going to change that now. If anything she relaxes me when I feel stressed.
