How?
DD has seriously been sleeping AWFUL for like a week now and I know it is because of teething. She has the 2 small bumps on her lower gums, but I don't see any teeth coming through yet. She has been gnawing on everything. When she wakes up in the night, she doesn't seem to be in pain, just in need of comforting. Tylenol wasn't making a difference, but the teething tablets help slightly. Seriously though, she has been waking every 1 to 2 hours with an occasional 3-4 stretch thrown in. She's never been the best sleeper, but certainly not this bad! Even her naps have gotten worse which I didn't think was possible. From 30 minutes to 20 minutes. She still smiles a lot during the day, but I can tell she is just so miserably overtired. DH usually works midnights, but had to take the week off work because I was about to go crazy and was horribly sleep deprived.
Help please! TIA
Re: Those who have survived teething...
Does she sleep in the car? The other day, I packed up DD during nap time, got a milkshake and drove for like an hour while she slept. I enjoyed just driving around and listening to music. Not something that can be done every day, but it was good for an hour nap, would have been longer if I had felt like driving.
But I feel your pain, DD has one coming through right now, she has been so clingy all day. She isn't really bad when I'm holding her, but I can't get anything done.
She will fall asleep in the car, but it doesn't make her naps any longer. I have driven around before to get her to nap though.
My DS was doing terribly with waking up until we got a baltic amber necklace for him, and while we don't have him wear it at night. We have him wear it all day and it has helped so much.
We use https://www.balticamberteethingnecklaces.com/ for ours, it has really been a godsend and I was 100% sceptical but not anymore for sure!

That is the only way she will nap is if I hold her the whole time. She wakes if I try to put her down and won't go back to sleep. When she wakes up from her nap, it is so sudden. It's like she just snaps out of a coma so I can't try to calm her before she is fully awake. I always try to get her back to sleep as I can tell she is exhausted still, but it doesn't work. I think once she pops these teeth, I'm going to do some nap training.
Glad to hear I'm not alone, I hope this passes quickly for us!
Thanks for the tip, I will look into those.
