I don't have anything planned for awhile, so whatever works for everyone else would be fine for me.
The last GTG I did was on a Friday evening. It was nice because we got the kids nice and tired right before bed lol. I know that some people will be driving a little farther than me though, so maybe a Saturday afternoon would work best?

Ditto this. I'm a SAHM. My only request is that we could finish by 7 ish so I could get home by bedtime. I'd probably only bring DD.
ETA: I posted over on SK for any KS/MO moms that jumped ship here and aren't lurking.
I might be interested in going if it wasn't a weekend that I had to work. I can't next weekend as I'll be recovering from oral surgery. Maybe we could plan something fun once tax returns are in? I'm broke till then! LOL
Lurker here. I wish we were still in the KC area -- I'd love to come but we just moved away last month. FWIW I totally recommend Union Station/Science City. DH and I took DS a couple months ago when he was maybe 14-15 months old and he absolutely loved it. Honestly I thought he'd be too young for most of the stuff but there were enough things there to keep him entertained for hours. The music/rythm thingy at the entrance was a big hit, as were the water table, sewer tunnels, physics room (lots of balls), mini-golf, and animals. There's also a great toddler/preschool room with a giant chalk board, puppet theatre, costumes, blocks, play tables, etc.
Hope you all have a great time!

I recognize you! I wish I had known you lived in Lawrence when you did...we would have had a play date or something
I would just have to plan a weekend in advance (or bring both kids) because DH works weekends. But as long as I have advance notice we should be ok.
Union Station would be fun. Science City is intended for much older kids, but I think the little ones would have fun, too. I've taken Miles to Monkey Business a couple of times, and he really loves it, actually.

Yeah, Evie really enjoyed Monkey Bizness and she slept GREAT that night lol! I think the adults and kids would both have fun at Union Station though.

Fair enough. I wasn't trying to change the plans, just offering a different perspective than the one I'd already seen.

Oh, I know! Monkey Bizness was really fun. If everyone wants to go there I'm totally cool with that.

Re: RE: KS GTG (and MO?)
I think KC is pretty centrally located and there's a lot of stuff to do.
I went to a Nestie GTG at Monkey Business in Shawnee. That was fun, but for the babies under 2, there's only a few things for them to do.
Union Station is always fun.
Anyone else got any ideas?
I've only been to KC a few times with DD. There's the Zoo, but it's way too cold for that any time soon.....yeah. I got nothin.
There's a place called Wonderscope that I've heard is really fun. I also found coupons on www.visitkc.com.
That website also has a list of all the stuff to do in KC.
Just googling:
There's the Wonderscope Children's Museum in Shawnee.
The Union Station website. I've never been, but heard a lot of good things about it.
I was just looking at this
I've never been to either, so I'll defer to other peoples' preferences. Both sound fun to me. When should we look at doing it?

I would love to come! I went to Union Station a few years ago and had a lot of fun, but I'm sure they don't have the same stuff there now.
I work Friday nights but a Saturday or Sunday would be fine for me!
I thought maybe KS stood for Kissy Snotters.
Darn.

Me too. All the bright colored girls clothes are out in stores. I cant wait for DD to be able to wear them!
