Pinkish discarge and back pain

I don't know anything about this, I'll be honest. I have "thought" I could be going into early labor for the last 3 weeks. But for the last few hours my back has been KILLING me. Sounds dumb to say at 38 weeks pregnant, but I really haven't had back pain with this pregnancy. It is not really coming and going, but more consistent. Not letting up with laying down or anything.

Then I just went to the bathroom and had some pink on the toilet paper. It *could* have come from the back... but I would think it would be bright red, not watery looking like that, if it was from a hemi.

Anyone????! Thoughts? I'm not asking you if I'm in labor, cause yall don't know obviously :) 

I have had NO bleeding or weird discharge through this pregnancy, and I am now a serial TP checker :)~

    At 38 weeks it sounds like you could be starting to lose your plug. I have never had a baby before though and I could be wrong but that is what it sounds like to me.

    I would think the pink discharge *could* be your plug, and I've heard that amniotic fluid can have a pink tint.

    Also, don't think just because the pain is constant means nothing. My mom had back labor and she said it didn't come and go like contractions. It was just constant AWFUL pain.

    There is no "slime" yet. Just watery pink. That is why I didn't think mucus plug right off. Hm, amniotic fluid. Or just bloody show? Although I don't know what that is supposed to be like!

    have you had an internal recently?

    I had one today and now having some pink discharge along with back pain and contractions. I think its just from her messing with me.

    I would think at 38 weeks though it could definetly be MP or start of bloody show thing. The back pain could be related. I hope it's the start of something for you!!!

    My last internal was Wednesday and nothing since then until now. I am so tempted to keep peeing and see if there is more :) Shouldn't be a problem!

    I am totally a serial tp checker now too.  I have had a little mucus and a little pink both before and after my internal yesterday. This is my 3rd kid and I have no clue what anything is cuz everything is different this time. 

    I just don't want to be pregnant anymore and want my baby here.

    Reese are we on the same wave length... I feel awful... started earlier today by pinkish discharge... and then lost part of my MP and did cramps/contractions getting worse... ugh! Hope something is happening for us both!

     

    I feel like I did the day or so before my water broke with DD.

    My labor started with low back pain...No contractions until I was given pitocin a day later (my water had broken).  Based off of the pp saying amniotic fluid could be pink tinged, I'd probably call just in case your water has broken.  GL!!!
    Expecting our 3rd little girl this New Year's!

    i'm at 38 weeks and have been going through the SAME thing for 2 days!

     the pink may be leading into a bloody show and your mucus plug. i lost my plug in pieces over the last day, and it started with watery pink in my panties.

    CONSTANT back pain for two days straight- no stopping and starting like contractions. 

     i hope this is it! i can't take much more of this intense back pain.
