Henry's sick AGAIN. His MDO is out for a snow day AGAIN. I'm sick...spent all evening/night in bed with a fever, tossing and turning and being kept awake by my own chills and Henry's coughing. I really, really need a nap today, but he's upstairs in his crib rolling around and playing with his lovey and doing everything BUT napping.
I am so tired and uncomfortable all of a sudden and when I went to see my OB today she told me I could be induced any time after 39 weeks I almost said, "SCHEDULE IT!" because part of me thinks I'll be more well-rested after the baby comes than I am now!
Blah. I just want a day off.
ETA: Just ate a Russell Stover strawberry cream egg and now I feel better. ![]()
Re: Ugh...pity party inside
((HUGS)) I hope you get some rest soon.
This is one of the main reasons I can't imagine being a SAHM. When we were really sick in Dec. we were able to send K to daycare (she was fine) and rest. It was pure bliss to be able to sleep uninterrupted. And I'm not even pregnant. I can't imagine all of that on top of pregnancy aches and pains.
I remember feeling the same way before DD came - DS was getting his molars and up all night, and I was uncomfortable. I remember asking another woman at the Little Gym who had just given birth if it was easier when the second one came out...and she said no. I almost cried.
But I am here to tell you that it is easier when the second one arrived. After the first week or two, I was much better physically so I could tolerate being awake for long stretches - and I think as a second time mom you know that the wake ups every 3 hours are temporary and you can deal with it. Either that or you are just used to being sleep deprived so it doesn't seem as bad as the first time. And my DD is a complete Angel baby, so I got lucky.
Anyways, good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!
Aw, I'm so sorry. That poor little guy can't catch a break!! And now you, too? Scheeze. You deserve a day off, for sure
Hope your hubby's in town, at least - maybe he can take over Henry for the weekend and hopefully give you a chance to recover a bit.
