Has Anyone Heard of Baby Depot???

I just got a promotional email aobut it...they claim to be one of the best baby superstores around.  It's apparently inside of Burlington Coat Factory.  Just wondering if anyone else had ever heard anything about it.

  • Yeah, they have a TON of baby gear and clothing.

  • I don't think it's the best. They do have a ton of clothes though.

  • I get catalogs from them all the time, but have never been to one.  I did check it out online and it seems like they have a ton of stuff.

  • I've never been - but DH has and he said it was pretty ghetto. And for him to say it was ghetto... well, it must be pretty ghetto.
  • yep - inside burrlington coat factory.  they have a lot...but quality is iffy...

  • They have some good deals and coupons.  The stores vary by location as to how they treat their customers, the one by me treats everyone as if they have already stolen something.  I prefer to go when I am visiting my parents in my hometown.

I've been there and I will have to strongly agree. At least the two I've been to were... one on the West Coast and one in the Midwest.

  • I love the one I go to.  If you don't mind looking, you can find some wonderful stuff.

  • Some are pretty ghetto, others are not so bad.  Just depends on the store.  You can get some good deals on stuff and they have a TON of baby clothes.  I hate the one down here by me, but the one up in Indy is okay.

As a side not, Burlington is a great place to find a coat if you don't want to spend a ton on it.

  • It all depends on your Burlington.  Some of them are trashy, some are gorgeous.  Mine is alright, but I prefer to go to one farther away.  The baby room is bigger in mine, but nicer in the other.  It's worth taking a look at your local one, they do have some different stuff.

  • DH and I stopped in one with MIL because she's obsessed with Burlington.  Neither of us had ever been in one before and a lot of stuff was pretty iffy.  However, we lucked out and they had the travel system we wanted for $70 off, so we went ahead and bought it.  They had a ton of stuff I didn't like or wouldn't buy though.

  • Yep, I have one in our area.  I don't think it's all that great.  I didn't really like anything there.  And this probably sounds terrible, but a lot of trashy people go there (at least the one in my area)..
  • Its definitely worth checking out. I've been to three of them (North Carolina, Florida, and Maryland), and they varied in terms of items in stock, cleanliness, etc. But they all had very good deals. I got the bedding I'd been looking for for $60 less than I'd seen anywhere else, even online.  They also have tons of clothes, and namebrand (like Carter's) items are less expensive than I've seen at other stores as well.  I'd price more costly items there before you decide on where to purchase. Happy Shopping!
  • I really liked my Burlington and Baby Depot before I moved, now I don't have one anymore.

  • I bought my snoogle there for $39 and at BRU it's like $60, but the selection is small
  • Thanks for all of the feedback!  It certainly sounds like it's worth checking out, even if I only end up getting one or two things there.  Now to figure out if we even have a Burlington anywhere near us...
