Girl I've found that I've pretty much been getting out of breath since I found out I was pregnant! It is one of the weirdest pregnancy things, especially considering I'm in great shape! I think it's totally normal though-
Same here. I can't take my dogs for a walk without panting (which is not fun in winter). And our washer and dryer are downstairs so needless to say doing laundry has become a workout. My BF has gotten in the bad habit of asking why I'm out of breath.... and wants me to answer right away... so annoying.

yes definitely alot in the 1st tri and a little bit now too...
we're pumping more blood in our bodies and not carrying as much hemogobin (oxygen carriers) around (blood gets "diluted" if you will from all the extra volume). thus, why we are feeling short of breath more often.
what helps is taking it easy and keeping up with drinking lots of fluids. if your hemoglobin is especially low, your doctor will advise for you to take some iron in addition to your PNV and this will help as well.
Oh yeah. And you should have seen me when I got on the elliptical a couple weeks ago. It was the first time I had really worked out since my BFP. I was panting. I've gotten better with my breathing while on it, and it's not so bad now. But I definitely get out of breath a lot faster than I used to.
Me oh Me oh Me... I have to walk 3 blocks from my truck to work then I am on the 10th floor in the office. I feel like I am going to colapse when I get there. Or like yesterday when I had to clean off my truck from the snow, took 20 min, though I was going to fall over, big truck= 5'3 me with a scraper and brush that is long but not long enough when you are a short person to reach the front of the window.

I walk up and down the stairs everyday at work. Its not so much in the morning but the afternoon its horrible by the time i get to the car i run out of breathe. its ridiculous!
Me! Although I've found that it's gotten better since I've been keeping up with my exercise routine on a daily basis. I try to go for walks with my sis and she just laughs and says she needs to work out again after walking with me cause her heart rate isn't even up but I'm panting like dog! I always feel fine though. I read somewhere that our body exerts the same amount of energy in creating a baby as in climing a mountain (not sure if that's true or not).

I was breathing super heavy the other night going up a few flights of stairs in the parking garage. And I kept thinking WTF I thought I was in good shape!?!
2x a year at work I have to give these big presentations to a room of about 200 people. I have a mic that doesn't work well so I still have to speak loudly, and the presentation is about 15 minutes. I had to do it last week and I almost passed out in the middle of it!! I realized partway through that I just wasn't getting enough air into my lungs while speaking, since I generally talk semi-fast and I have to work so hard to project my voice. My vision started swimming and finally I had to play it off like I needed a drink of water. But that certainly taught me not to trust my lung capacity anymore.

I didn't notice but my husband did. He asked me if I was ok the other day while we were walking to the car. I guess I didn't realize I was breathing so heavily.
Yes and its mostly when I've walked a lot, done a lot around the house, or taken a shower. Probably the most after I've showered. This is why I now only take baths. Very strange.
I wouldn't say it happens frequently but seems to happen at odd times ie when I'm sitting at my desk at work or at home on the couch. I don't have any issues at the gym though during my workout. Weird!
