So this weekend I am thinking about taking DD to get her ears pierced. She is a little over 3 mos & her pedi said it was fine. She sleeps on her back, but moves around a lot in her sleep & moves her head from side to side. Also, during tummy time, she lays on one side or the other when she gets tired form lifting her neck. Will this be a problem/hurt her if she gets her ears pierced? Does it hurt for a long time or is it just a quick thing & then they are over it? Anything else I need to know/any tips to make this as smooth as possible?
Re: Piercing DD's ears...need suggestions/info pls!
I got Anna's pierced when she was about 4-5 months old. She did fabulously! We just had a bottle waiting for her when it was over. She cried for about 15 seconds, drank her bottle and was fine. We haven't had an issues with her pulling them or them bothering her. (We did switch them out for 14K about a month ago because she may have started to react to the starter earring. Apparently, this can be common.)
All in all, she did so much better than her older sister did! Emily was almost 2 1/2 and told me for days and days about her owies! My advice to anyone is to do it before they can talk!
I had my girls done when they were 4 months old. They did really great. Cried less then when they get shots!
They don't seem to ever touch them or bother them at all. I am still cleaning them 3 times a day as instructed and they don't seem to mind. I just tell them I am tickling their ears when I'm doing it and turning the studs.
I'm sure she will do fine. Good Luck!
