Jumping the gun a little.

I bought Sydney the cutest little potty today. It's a pink frog. And I got her a seat for the big toilet too. It's Winnie the Poo(h). *tee hee hee* I was looking at the selection in the store and thought to myself...why not. It's not like I am going to start tomorrow, but it wouldn't be such a bad thing to have them here, just incase she wants to sit :)

  • I have thought about getting one for Caroline. Not that I expect her to use it but to have there for when she wants to imitate Mommy.

  • I bought Fiona a potty a couple of months ago to get her used to the idea. She loves to sit on it and calls it the potty.

We haven't started formally training, but she understands what the potty is and will sit on her one upstairs when I am in my bathroom . She has a book https://www.amazon.com/Big-Girls-Use-Potty-Publishing/dp/075661452X and when I start reading it to her, she runs and grabs her potty to sit on just like the girls in the book are doing..it's cute.

  • That's not jumping the gun at all. I registered for - and received - a seat and step-stool for my shower.
  • I've been eyeing the baby bjorn potty...  It just seems friendly-like to get her used to the idea.  :)

  • I think that is a great idea.  This way, the potty is already at home in case she starts showing signs early or needs another place to sit.  Smart move - I may need to piggy back on that idea.
