I spent 5 hrs in the ER last night bleeding, bright red. No cramping no clots. They wouldn't do an u/s just a pelvic exam. I finally called my Dr and they did a crappy check to see if there is a heartbeat u/s and there was! However, I am still bleeding so we will be going to the OB first thing this morning.
Please send T&Ps that this little guy/girl hangs on through this.
Anyone else have this experience??
Re: threatened m/c last night!
I hope you get some reassurance today.
I had a bleeding episode at 19 weeks and went to the nearest hospital. It had the worst u/s machine ever and they wouldn't even do a pelvic exam!!!
I ended up going to another hospital after I left there.
I did end up having a placental abruption at 29 weeks but I have a healthy 2.5 year old son to show for that nightmare!!
Good luck and keep us updated.
A good friend of mine had heavy bleeding at 12 wks. She was sure she was m/cing but they did an u/s and it was placenta previa. She saw the peri a few times but they let her go when it shifted. Actually, thinking about it, another friend had kind of the same experience at 14 wks and it was the same thing. Hers also ended up shifting.
I'll be thinking about you this morning, please update us!
I had bleeding, lots of it, and all was fine. It was caused by a subchrionic hematoma. I bled on an off for a couple of weeks before the hematoma went away. I was restricted from lifting anything, but it turned out to be okay.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I had almost constant bleeding/spotting during the first trimester of this pregnancy and had a few episodes when I was pregnant with DS as well. Interestingly enough, I didnt have any at all with my first pregnancy which ended up being a missed miscarriage. So while it is scary, in my experience, some bleeding is good.
Sending good thoughts your way.

I think it's kinda ree-donkulous they wouldn't do a scan. WTF.
I'm calling SCH, and you're fine. Hope it's nothing, dear. GL !
Thoughts and prayers coming your way!
Thinking of you! I bled up until about 17 weeks. It was horrible. I went to L&D at 17 weeks...it was no fun but everything was fine.
I bled because of a sub. hematoma. I can't believe they wouldn't do an ultrasound...wtf?
Because we're fancy like that.
I have bled 5 times with this pregnancy due to a subchorionic hematoma.
T&P are on there way.
