Re: Bedrest Mama's Daily Check-In ~ FRIDAY ~
Hello all.
We've had quite a bit of activity on here lately!
UPDATES:
Welcoming new bedrest mamas akozera (Anne), christykell (Ckell), mrsdjm07(Heather), sperry0376 (Stephanie) and weeblek (Kara).
Congratulations to nikinlove (Nikki) on the birth of her baby at 25 weeks.
Let's keep her, baby Payton and family in our thoughts.
And the same goes out to curly_gurly979 (Shannon) on the birth of baby Dahlia at 37 weeks.
Heather: Happy Anniversary! That's so sweet. And to have ice cream to top off the grilled cheese dinner along with the fabric selection sounds like a memorable anniversary.
I'm here!
My appt yesterday went well. NST was great, and my ultrasound now places him in the 93 percentile for weight. Sheesh. LOL BP seems to have stabilized, but now they want to see me twice a week for NST's. Oh well, at least it will get me out of the house. LOL
As for the superhero question.....I always wished I could be invisible. Mostly so I could see and hear things that I never could before. It would certainly help in my profession. lol
Congrats to our new moms and I will definitely keep Payton in my prayers.
Question of the Day: I love this question! I would have the power to move/reverse objects and time. That way, I could prevent accidents, illness and have a cool cocktail party trick.
Congrats Niki on the birth of your baby and I'll keep her in my T&Ps. Shannon, congrats again!
Name: Natasha
Due: 03/30
Began bedrest: 12/03 (Semi-BR), 12/16 (modified-ish BR), 12/26 (hospital BR), 01/07 (strict, home, BR)
Type: Strict
Reason: PTL and pre-e
QOTD: My superpower would be teleporting. I can teleport on BR, right?
Update: I'm really sad today with the whole BR thing. My very good friend has her bridal shower and bachelorette party tomorrow and I can't go. I know she understands but I want to go and socialize. Also, we're moving today and tomorrow and it's soooo frustrating not to be able to do anything or help out in any way. My dad is leaving on Monday to go back to Russia and I'll miss him.
My mom is going to be even MORE attentive to me...eek. Just a hormonal day, here.
Congrats to Shannon! I can't wait to see pictures of your sweet Dahlia.
Nikki - you and Payton are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm positive that she is one tough cookie.
Updates: Nothing really. My DH is off for the weekend so I'll finally be able to see him.
QOTD: This is a fun but tough question. I think I thought of 10 different things. I would want to have the ability to tell the future so I could not worry so much.
QOTD: I have always said I would have the ability to never have to use the restroom...people look at me crazy but I just say, hey, I wouldn't miss anything, I'd never have to wait in a long line again!!
And when people ask me how could that even be possible how would I get rid of waste I look at them and say, really, and how are you magically going to fly...let's not get into details.
Update: Well I'm 31 weeks...back when PIH was first onset my doctor told me it would be a miracle if I made it to 32 weeks. Well...let's see how I do this week!!
I think nesting is starting to hit me...I keep going into the baby's room and making lists of what I need and rearranging everything...and call it mother's intuition but I'm convinced I will have a Feb baby, ironically enough though I have said this since I first saw that first ultrasound and it was a little bubble...I told DH I said it's a boy and he's coming early. He told me I was crazy...now, he doesn't think I'm so crazy.
And oddly enough, I don't feel anxious about it, it feels...right (and I think to myself...how can I be ok with this, how can I not be worried about not going full term). How odd am I? Maybe all this bed rest has just made me lose my mind!!!!!!
QOTD: Right now my super power would be a super strong cervix
I think it is starting to hit me that I am stuck in bed for a while. Also, I am starting to realize that having children in the future will be hard if it means 6 months of bed rest each time.
No new updates. MFM appt on Tuesday to check how everything looks post-op.
