Success after IF

Now she hates the sippy cup...

So, after a few days of being curious about the sippy cup and even sucking some water out of it...Anna now hates sippy cups. Any time I come close to her with one, she starts to fuss, bats it away, and starts shaking her head back and forth so I can't get to her mouth. Hmph. My instinct is that I should just put them away for a while and try again in a few weeks? Thoughts? I just don't want her to have a negative association with them.
Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation.
Because we're fancy like that.

Re: Now she hates the sippy cup...

  • Let her play with it, but don't force it.

K never used a sippy because she hated them. We went straight to a straw cup from the bottle. Maybe see if A likes that style.

  • She could be teething, Dillon hated the sippy cup for a few weeks until his teeth came in, then he was fine with it
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • Silly Anna!! They are always changing huh? I'd be inclined to follow your gut and just put them away for a bit. Or have them around for her to play with if she's interested.

Same for my Katie. We never had a sippy battle but she prefered the straws and I like them so much better too

  • Wait. They go backwards?!?! They can like it and then not? ;)

Nuts. Will doesn't even like the sippy yet!

I would go with your gut, though.
