I'm sure someone is tracking how many posters are active/how many posts per day (if they even have the technology to do that, you never know with the bump).
Since about 1/4 of the posts are about another site specifically created b/c people were unhappy with the mismanagement of this board, do you think they're scrambling today?
Over 450 members in less than 48 hours, a big part of whom were silver or gold posters here. Wonder how Pampers feels about this?

Register with your bump name...that's how they weed out the AE's.
I don't think they care.
This.
Because they probably figure the majority of us will still be "around" on this board or if you're like me, there are other Bump boards you frequent.
exactly Heatherlane is proving her own point wrong. She is here.
This. I'm sure the appeal of Snotty Kisses will wear off soon and a lot of people will come back to The Bump.
I plan to post on both boards, but I can see a lot of people just signing up to see what it's all about and then stop posting. That's what I did with MeMo.

Here's my take on it and keep in mind that I'm a mod and not TB staff. My opinions are my opinions. I don't work for the bump. A couple of you have this thought that mods shouldn't say this or that or behave in a certain way. In fact, I could be as snarky, opinionated as a want as long as I don't violate TOS. So that's my disclaimer.
From experience, I've learned that no matter how popular off boards get, they don't compare to TB. This is truly the Goliath of baby/parenting websites. No other website (babygaga, sheknows, etc.) comes close (read this somewhere, not making it up)
Community forums are such a small part of what thebump/thenest actually do.
SK, Memo serve their own unique purpose but again, you can't compare yourselves to a company that takes out full page ads on parenting magazines.
1. people always come back to TB
2. even with a major exodus , the bump has the resources to fill those member spots back up. (look at how many boards they create!)
On another note, I personally know that they do value their members. Their lagged response times (banning trolls, etc) make them appear detached from their community forums. I've relayed this information and I know they're currently working on it. Remember, they're not a mom and pop shop. I'm willing to bet they'll have meetings about the complaints regarding their community forums. They'll come up with a plan to change it, and we'll see those changes in a couple of weeks/days. In the meantime, it may seem that they are not doing anything when in fact they are.
This is probably most likely.
Wow. UR SMRT. Since you like to keep tabs, tell me how much posting I've done here today?
And TSD, hope you join that board if you haven't already. I've missed seeing your brutal honesty lately. I know there are lots of ladies that would love to see you there, if you haven't checked it out already.
