I haven't had the opportunity to make a group announcement to my office (didn't want to do an email) and Tuesday was the first day I wore a shirt that was fairly form fitting -- the bump was out and proud. Got a few unexpected congratulations and "are you pregnant?" questions from folks in my office and other offices who I thought already knew. It was adorable.
No stranger comments yet but DH and I were with DS at Gymboree class today and DH suddenly points at my belly and says "Hey, there's our baby!" in a super surprised tone of voice. Guess I popped!
I ordered a frappuccino at Starbucks the other day, and the guy said, "Do you want caffeine in that?" WTF? When do they ever ask that? Lol. MH thinks the guy knew I was pregnant. I haven't had anyone ask me "are you pregnant?" yet though.
Last week at my works after holiday party at a winery the waitress asked me "it looks like your expecting and all the beverages we are serving are alchoalic would you like water or iced tea" That was my first comment for a stranger. I was wearing a form fitting maternity shirt and I def looked pregnant.
I had my first comment yesterday too. I volunteer on base with my husband's unit and one of the Marine's that knew was commenting on how my belly is getting bigger and another one that obviously didn't know looked like he had just called me fat. It was hilarious. The second guy finally asked if I was pregnant and congratulated me but said he didn't realize I was because he wasn't checking me out! Haha oh I love what comes out of guys mouths. lol
Re: first "are you pregnant?"
I am a teacher and my first came from a sixth grader about two weeks ago!
