So the search function hasn't worked for me in a long, long time. Is it just me? When I try to search this board (at the bottom of the page) it just gives me a weird error.
(I am trying to find a previous post on baby names.)
actually searching through google reader is even better
ah thanks!
It's weird that that the search function doesn't work.
Being in IT, I would love to know how this site is managed and architected. Considering all of the application errors they have, i'm not surprised they turned off search. Too much overhead on already taxed databases and servers. I don't think they generate enough ad revenue to size their servers correctly.

I guess not! They must be so tight for money they can't even remove the search function box even though, at least for me, it hasn't worked in months and months!

Removing the search box is probably a huge pain with very little benefit to the company. Deciding the value of software changes is what I do pretty much every day. Usually you want to spend your time and $ doing stuff that will generate the company more money. Be gentle with the Bump. We'd all be sad if they were gone.
Re: search function
You can put the the bump's URL like this:
https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread
into google search and then add the term you wanted to search for. The string doesn't include Indiana babies though, so you'll get every board back.
ah thanks!
