After the IV fluids and IV meds wore off yesterday, I was right back to not being able to keep anything down (including meds). So, my OB is scheduling a PICC line placement. It will most likely be done today, but if they can't get me in it will be done tomorrow. We will then start IV fluids at home. He's also setting me up with a Zofran pump so I can get meds continuously. The Zofran pump will most likely be run through my PICC so at least I won't have to stab myself to change ports every 12 hours.
I really didn't want it to come to this but I'm thankful that my OB is very proactive at keeping the HG under control. We are all still hoping it will go away after 1st tri. Thanks again for all the T&P ladies! It really means a lot to us.
Re: Well, it was worth a shot
Oh man, I'm sorry! Hang in there Denice!
I feel so bad. Sorry Denice!!!!!!!!
Hang tight!!! T&P!
That sucks. I am glad to hear that your OB is being proactive but I'm sorry that you are dealing with this.
I'll be thinking of you during your PICC line placement. I had to have 3 placed (don't ask) during the duration of my pregnancy, and I know that it can be a nerve-racking procedure. I didn't like it anyway. Yay for being able to put the Zofran pump through your PICC line, it suuuuuucks to have to change it every 8-12 hours.
Let me know if you need anything! It takes me a while to get out of the house with these guys, but once I'm out, we're usually good to go.
Ugh! Sorry Denice. Hang in there! Fingers crossed that you start feeling better quickly.
