3D/4D ultrasound recommendation?

I'm interested in getting a 3D/4D but not too sure how reliable it is. Anyone been to one they recommend or have to talked to their midwife or doctor about it?

    There is only one place that does it in the area- Golden View Ultrasound in Brookline. We booked a Middle of the Week Package and the results were amazing. I was about 24 weeks and our Daughter looked just like in the pictures when she finally was delivered. We're definitely doing it again with DB2! It seems like such a cool way for your significant other (or my Mom in our case- as she lives in Germany and was not around for the birth) to partake in your pregnancy and get a good look at the little blessing you're growing!

    There is actually a new one that just opened in Duxbury I think.  It looks very similar to Goldenview, but it has a different name. If you just google 3d ultrasound duxbury you should get the link.

    We went to Seek Peek in Londonderry NH and loved it. We had a few u/s done there at different times throughout the pregnancy. We had a gender u/s where we found out we were having a little boy, and then we had a 3D u/s later on in the pregnancy. LO did not want to cooperate, so we were able to come back several times until we were able to get some good 3D pictures of his face at no additional charge.

    There's a great 3D/4D ultrasound in Watertown, MA called Peekaboo 4D Ultrasound. Initially, I had my reservations about 3D/4D facilities and when I asked my doctor, she told me they don't recommend having more ultrasounds than needed but had me come in for weekly ultrasounds at the hospital due to my gestational diabetes.  After chatting with the nurses, they informed me that ultrasounds are not harmful and the only reason doctors don't recommend them is because they're not supposed to refer patients to outside clinics.  

    My husband and I really wanted a 3D/4D session so we made an appointment at Goldenview.  The facility was tiny and the elevator wasn't working so we had to walk up the stairs. Pictures weren't too impressive either, and prices were super expensive!  My friend had booked an appointment after mine at Peekaboo and got amazing pictures for a lot less $$ than Goldenview.  I decided to give it another go at Peekaboo hoping for better pictures. I bought a $110 package for 15 minutes but the technician spent 40 min. with me to make sure I got the best pictures! Definitely worth the money, everyone there was so nice and they offered me chocolates and bottled water =)

    Hi there,

    I just went with my GF to a place in Hanover, not duxbury... They were SUPER nice and they are way cheaper than Goldenview.  The ultrasound room is huge and we had 10 people.  The tech was extremely nice and she offered everyone snacks too. =)  They have a little snack spot in the waiting room.
    Its called A New Conception which I thought was super cute too.  I would recommend them too.  We came from Braintree and it was like 10 minutes to get there.  They are near Hanover Mall.  No broken elevators either or traffic jams!  I have been to Goldenview too with her first 3d ultrasound and "yuck" small and dingy and they whip you in and out like a factory and my GF had to reschedule on a WEEKDAYwith goldenview because the baby was in a bad position and that not fair because her appointment was on a SAT for a REASON! They also make you pay like 12 bucks per person for internet, I think its FREE at A New Conception Ultrasound in Hanover.  I made my appointment for next month ain Hanover and I cant WAIT!  You should check them out  www.anewconception.com

    Thank you for the inputs. I want to stay local so my choices are Goldenview or Peekaboo. Still can't decide which to go...I'm getting mix reviews for both places.
