convertable car seat

Charlie's about 29 inches and 22 lbs and he's outgrowing his Graco Snugride.  We are shopping for a convertable car seat.  Any recommendations?

Re: convertable car seat

  • We love the Evenflo Triumph. We got the one with the memory foam in it because our family appreciates comfy behinds.

  • We had the Graco Snugride 32, which Adrian outgrew by 8 months!! So we purchased a Graco MyRide 65, and we love it. Adrian loves it too, he takes really good naps in it and seems super comfy. He's on the big side, 30 lbs now, so I'm glad we got the bigger convertible seat. We have a Cosco Scenera for car #2 and it's smaller so Adrian doesn't seem as comfy in that one. But we wanted a cheap one for that car since it's not the one we usually put Adrian in. I borrowed a Britax from a friend when we were out of town and honestly, the straps were awkward, didn't seem to hold Adrian in well and he wasn't that comfortable in that seat. So I'm glad we got a Graco instead of spending more money on Britax. GL choosing!

I got this one because I love cow print and the safety reviews and user reviews were excellent.

  • I got the "Evenflo Titan Elite" at Target. A pain to install in our small car, but so great for the price. Not expensive, plush cushioning, and (most important) Victor likes it-seems comfortable. It's for children up to 50 lbs. and 47" high.

  • Love the britax marathon - as Puckchick said it too had great reviews, it's very easy to use and cowmooflage print.  We think it's much easier to use than the evenflo that DH had in his car for a while.
  • We have the Evenflo Symphony for N, fits 5-100lbs....a lot, I know, but he's so darn comfy in it!

We have the Evenflo Triumph (DH's car) and Titan (mine).  Titan is a good one for the money, but Triumph is better.  The straps on the Titan are constantly getting twisted.  Never happens on the Triumph.  I may be getting another one!

  • We have Britax Roundabout and Jason has been using it until now. He is moving on to a booster, so Erin will be using his convertable once she outgrows her Snugride.
