Did you register for a swing and a bouncer?

I originally registered for a travel swing and a regular swing. But then I dropped the regular swing and added a bouncer, thinking the travel swing would be good when we visited our parents. So we wound up getting the travel swing and bouncer as gifts. MIL keeps saying if we want to return the bouncer since it's so close to the swing, we can (her sister was the one to give to us)...but I think they will be different enough...won't they?

I would keep both as the baby might not like one or the other. We ended up with 3 swings and 2 bouncers. I'm returning one of each obviously. GL.

Everyone seems to say that you just don't know what baby will like- they always seem to prefer one over the other. I would just keep them and sell whatever doesn't work on craigslist...

I'd keep them both since they were gifts. We've registered just for a bouncer - I'm a bit undecided about whether I want a mechanized swing or not. I did put the arms reach cocoon on our registry (it's a swing/bed sort of thing), but I don't know that I'll buy it if we don't receive it as a gift.

i would keep both. remember that depending on what bouncer you have, they last a lot longer than swing.

I think you'll use both. My son loved the swing from newborn to 8 months. I like the bouncy seat because it was easy to travel with, very portable and convenient. I would put DS in bouncy seat and bring him downstairs when I had to fold and do laundry. If we were out, I would bring bouncy seat to feed him. Not easy feeding a baby food in a bouncy if your at someone else's house. Keep both for now, and if you don't use one or the other, you could always take it back. I found that BRU and BBB take back anything!

We registered for a swing and a bouncer. Lots of people say that the baby might like one but not the other and I wanted to be prepared. If baby likes both, that will be really great.

we have both....DD loved her swing and bouncer and my stepson was a swing baby...we'll use both just fine and the bouncer seat is a good thing to have when feeding them before they can sit well in the high chair or if you are somewhere without a high chair
