Not sure if this is a problem

I went to get my bcp script refilled already because I've had to double up on pills to shrink my cyst.  Well, my insurance won't cover it until the 21st because they only allow 1 pack at a time and I guess it's too soon to get a new one.  I found out that I couldn't get it filled tonight when I went to pick it up so I haven't talked to my nurse yet but I'm wondering how much of a problem this will be.  My last pill is supposed to be on Friday so it's only 3 days early.  But, I don't know if that moves up the schedule or if she'll tell me to pay oop for 2 days of pills (4 pills of the pack).

 Not sure what the point of this post is other than to see if anyone has ideas of what they think she'll tell me tomorrow? It's always something with me!

    Sometimes insurance is so annoying. I'm not sure what the RE will say, but could you call your ob/gyn and see if they have any samples you could have so you don't have to pay OOP?

    Not sure which pills you are on- but if they are all the same hormone levels (except the placebo ones) couldn't you just take extra from the same pack?  Or- I think that you can perhaps have your Dr. office call and see if they can waive it. I called my insurance one time asking what would happen if I went out of the country and needed two months worth of my thyroid meds- and they made it sound easy- just can't do it EVERY month.

    I talked to my nurse this am and she wants me to take 2 pills today and tomorrow (as scheduled) so I'll be getting a new pack.  I only have the placebo pills left so they won't work.  My nurse checked their stock and they only have some with a lower dose than what I'm on but she doesn't want me to do that since the higher dose will help shrink the cyst.  Oh well...

     

    Good ideas to talk to my gyn and insurance company though... I might just do that!  Thanks:)

    Thanks:)  I should have just asked what it was going to be yesterday.  It was $19.99.  I think with insurance coverage my copay is $10.  Expensive for 4 pills but I was expecting way worse with the way the guy said it was going to be yesterday:P
