I was looking at the photos of Libby in your latest blog post, and something kept nagging at me about her. I couldn't figure it out for a while, but finally realized what it was.
You know how usually a child looks more like one parent than the other? Like I can look at Will and Dash and although they have a few of my features (pale olive skin, my ears, and possibly my eye shape), they're mostly little Ben clones. But Libby is almost exactly half you and half Joseph. It's so cool!
I think it's why that "what will my baby look like" photo you got online looks so much like her, because they basically just average out your features. And she's 50% you and 50% Joseph.
Random, I know. I just thought it was cool that she so very "you guys."
Re: ** Lori - something about Libby **
Thanks Lisa! It's funny, until she was about 6 months old everyone said how much she looked just like J. And lately, it's the opposite. I agree, she's the perfect blend of both of us!
Right now to her belly button...she has a perfect line down her belly and one side is darker, more J's skin tone and the other side is lighter, closer to my skin tone. Isn't that weird? We noticed it one day after a bath when she was about 4 weeks old. Her face is lighter toned, closer to mine, but her body is darker, more like J. She's definietly got his nose, ears, hands and feet and booty! And she has my eyes, lips, chin and legs. Quite the combo!
I will say this...I've never really liked my eyes until I saw them on her.
Personality-wise she's definitely got his wicked sense of humor and oodles of charm and my feistiness...it's crazy...according to my mom, when she gets frustrated, she expresses herself exactly the same way I did at the age! Lots of grunting and arm flailing.
It'll be fun and interesting to see her develop...both physically as well as emotionally and mentally.

Ooh, I'll have to nail J down for that one...he's a "little of this, a little of that" kinda cook. It has TONS of minced garlic though, that I know for sure and it's delish!
