I gained too much with DD (35-40ish, I think). I'm on track to gain a bit less this time. Miraculously, at my appointment this morning I learned I'd only gained 1 pound since my last appointment 5 weeks ago. How did I manage that over the holidays?!

I voted based on #1. With number 2 & 3, I gained less each time. However, I was heavier with 2&3 in the beginning and had gestational diabetes with all 3, though 1&2 I was 'borderline' and controlled with only diet. #3, I was put on insulin and controlled with diet. I'm quite certain had I not had to lower my carb intake, I would have gained more. lol
ETA: I also gained within the 'range' my doctor set for me with all of them. Not over 20 for #1 and not over 10 with the last two.
I started very thin with #1 and gained about 34lbs... with #2 I started 10lbs heavier and gained 24 lbs. I weighed exactly the same when both were born... I guess my body has and "ideal" baby weight...
With K, I think I gained right at 15ish lbs. I lost the weight and then some post partum. I gain some back and started a little heavier with C. Im pretty sure I gained right at 10ish lbs after I gained back the 20 lbs I lost with morning sickness. This time as of this morning I am only up around 7 lbs from where I started.
I gained more with the first but I probably would have been even had it not been for the PIH/pre-E at the end of my pregnancy with Marion. I blew up like an absolute balloon (seven pounds in two weeks) the last two months of my pregnancy with her.
I started off both pregnancies right around the same weight and gained almost 30 lbs with both kiddos. Neither of my OBs ever said a word about my weight gain, so I guess I was on track.

I gained less with #2 even though I started out 16lb lighter than I did with #1. But I was still plenty overweight, so I didn't need to gain much and was told not to gain more than 20lb with #1. I had GD with #2 so that kept my weight down further. I only gained 12lb with DD and 8lb with DS.
I only gained about 15 lbs. with my first, but my doc was constantly on my case about trying to take in more calories so that I could gain more weight. I tried, but just couldn't. I had such a high metabolism back then...... boy! those were the days. LOL Today, 16 years later, I started this pregnancy 15 lbs. heavier (thanks to a year of injectible fertility meds for IUI and a failed IVF cycle). Plus I have already managed to gain 12 lbs during the first 16 weeks of pregnancy!
2009-2011: 5 failed IUIs & 1 failed IVF
2011: BFP during break from meds! Baby born healthy!
2012: 5 cancelled FET cycles due to thin uterine lining
1/13/13: FET of 2 blasts
1/18/13: BFP!
1/28/13: It's twins!!
1/31/13: ultrasound reveals 3 sacs!!!
2/6/13: 3 heart beats!!! OMG it's TRIPLETS!!!
I started very thin with #1 and gained about 34lbs... with #2 I started 10lbs heavier and gained 24 lbs. I weighed exactly the same when both were born... I guess my body has and "ideal" baby weight...

I think you need to post a picture. I looked more pregnant than you at the foodie GTG 4 months ago.
This exactly for me too!
