My family has extremely sensitive skin. I will be CDing this baby where I didn't with DS. Anyone have a good CD detergent that is good for sensitive skin?? TIA!

I think that there are a few brands that are free and clear of scents and dyes. Dreft is supposed to be good but its a bit expensive. Maybe try All or Tide just make sure that they are free and clear.
Rockin' Green Bare Naked Babies will def. work for you. That's what we use--and now I use it on our laundry now that DD is PTing. It works really well, and I love how environmentally friendly it is. If you buy it online, it's a little better deal. Also, they make three versions--hard, classic, and soft--soft will be the absolute easiest on skin, but you will also want to choose the formula that's best for the water you have.
From what I have read you can't use baby detergents (something about them having build in softeners) and you can't use the "free and clear" kinds either because they have optical brighteners. Apparently both the softeners and brighteners coat the diapers and make them not absorb well. We are getting a package deal with our Fuzzi Bunz and we get lots of samples of "extras" to try. We are going to try Charlie's detergent. If you go to fuzzibunzstore.com they have several types of detergents on there. www.cloth101.com also has lists of types of detergent. This is our first baby and so I haven't actually used any of these yet, just letting you know what I've read!

I have read in my research that Charlie's detergent has been reported as causing burns and rashes. Just thought you might want to know that.

We used Charlie's Soap for the 1st year or so, and then we switched to Crunchy Clean (she's a fellow Bumpie). Www.crunchyclean.com
Oh and we had no issues with Charlie's Soap.
The Diaper Jungle chart is a good place to start, but verify the information. I know for a fact some of it is wrong. I contacted them about including pictures of labels and they never updated.
We use LifeTree with tea tree oil. It's never caused a problem with DS's sensitive skin. I like having that tiny bit of tto in it since it has antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Planet liquid is what we use now and have for about 6 months. All of the Free and Clears gave us bad buildup, tide didn't work at all.
We did like Crunchy Clean, Tiny Bubbles, and we like Rockin Green as it is right now (we did have a batch of it when it caused rashes, they did a recall on it). Country Save is just working "ok" on them.
It really all depends on where you live and your water situation. We have evil horrible wickedly hard water and use Calgon in every load.
Thanks, bakes4u! Like I said, I'm a first time mommy and while I love the idea of cloth diapering and I'm excited about doing it, there is SO much info out there it's a little overwhelming!

I've always used Rockin' Green with out issues, but DD does not have sensitive skin. A friend and fellow cloth diaper user used it and had major issues with it and her daughter's skin. She ended up using tide free and clear or all free and clear and had much better success!
I found that the best place to buy detergent is soap.com (if you cannot find it in a local store). They offer free shipping and you can always find coupon codes.
We are going to try Soap Nuts, which isn't really a detergent I guess, since it is an actual fruit. Anyway, some people around here LOVE them and I really like the idea, but I haven't started CDing yet, so I can't vouch for them yet.
Re: Recommendation for CD Detergent
Thanks I did post there too!

I've got some Rock n Green because it came with some diapers I bought, but I'll probably buy Country Save in the future because it's cheaper.

Here is a blog entry about them
