Jake has been waking up noodie every morning for the past 4 mornings or so (FWIW, I think he does it once he's up since I check on him before I go to bed and he's fully clothed). Sunday he woke up noodie and no diaper. Luckily he didn't poop, but I don't really want to have to cross that bridge. Anyway, don't some of you put their footie jams on backwards- with the zipper on the back? I'm confused about this- wouldn't it be uncomfortable on their feet?
Until we figure out what else to do, I'm just going to start putting a onesie underneath him so that he can't get to the diaper.
Re: tell me about sleeping with footie pj's backwards...
Hm .. I have def heard of people putting sleep sacks on backwards - so the zipper is in the back - but not footie jammies, like you my first thought is "wouldn't that be uncomfortable?" So I don't know about that.
Noodie!! hee hee silly li'l guy!
"When it comes to sleeping, whatever your baby does is normal. If one thing has damaged parents enjoyment of their babies, it's rigid expectations about how and when the baby should sleep." ~ James McKenna, Ph.D., Mother Baby Behavioral Sleep Center, University of Notre Dame
I do it a lot -putting the zipped pjs on backward- I'm sure its not the most comfortable thing int he world. but the don't complain. I 'd reather have them be uncomfortable then find them in crib of poop which is what happnes if I dont do it backwards. Off come the pjs and then the daiper..umm yeah not fun.
I do sometimes put a onesis on and do the pjs the right way but they still the pjs off and I'm afraid they will be cold in just a onesie!
It sounds uncomfortable. I would put the onesie on like you mentioned. My kids wear them all winter especially with footie pj's, it keeps the warmth in no matter how warm the pj's are, it's nice to have it underneath. Once our babysitter didn't have it on underneath and I felt a little chill on their backs.
Also, Nordstrom has amazing winter footie pj's. The zipper goes up and is tucked underneath part of the material. Great design. It would be hard for your child to figure it out. They are normally $20 but are on sale now. I bought mine early fall for $12. A great deal and they last much better than Carters (which I"m a huge fan of as well though).
