Bought my car - Anyone have a Mazda 5?

I went to the dealer and bought my new car today.  I "think" I got a decent deal, but it is hard to shop for cars with two kids and two car seats.  I ended up getting the 2010 Mazda 5.  They were clearing them out to make way for the 2012 and had some pretty good deals on them, $2,900 off invoice. Hopefully, DH will like it!

Anyone have the Mazda 5?  Do you like it?

  • I don't but congrats on the new car.  I can't believe you did that with 2 kids and car seats.  You must be tired :)

  • No Mazda 5 but we do have a Mazda 3 and really like it.  It's pretty much the same, if I understand correctly, just smaller.  Haven't had a single problem with it since we bought it in 2006 other than it needed new tires, but that is really just routine maintenence anyways.  Congrats on the new car!  When we bought mine last year it felt great.

I never ask them about the financing in the end.  We decided to pay cash.

  • We bought one in November.  I like it more and more every day.  It drives really smoothly and has more pick-up than our Corolla even though it's a little bigger and is still a 4-cylinder.

We've taken a couple of long trips in it, and it's very comfortable.  Enjoy!

  • Love, love, love my Mazda5!  We bought a 2009 Mazda5 in September.  The only problem I've had is that the sliding doors get frozen shut if I take it through the car wash when it's 20 degrees or lower.  I don't think you have to worry about that, though!

At least you can avoid interest all together then!

Oh, and I'm a tard.  After reading the other responses I realized that I was thinking a Mazda 6, not 5.  Oops!

  • We have a 2009 Mazda5 that we bought almost 2 years ago. I love it! The sliding doors make it much easier to get in and out of yet the wagon size means it's easy to park.  With the third row of seats folded down, it has a lot of cargo space which important since when we travel we're still taking a pack n play, stroller, booster seat, etc. and have plenty of space.  Occasionally we use the third row of seats if we want to fit 6 people.  Two small adults or older children can fit back there but I wouldn't want to sit back there for more than an hour or so.  Haven't tried putting a carseat in that row just yet.
