ONE procedure:

If you could have ONE procedure done post-partum (after you've already 'shrunk' as much as you can) what would it be?

I would get a tummy tuck. I looked okay after my 2nd child was born, but I always had a small bit of pooch that wouldn't go away. I can only imagine how much worse it'll be after this one. :( Dh tells me to just go work out, but when you have loose muscles and skin, that's pretty hard to get to go back to normal. Not saying I'm not willing to work hard (well, maybe I am) but there's only so much working out will do.

Re: ONE procedure:

  • I would have a tummy tuck but not because I care about the extra flab...

I had my appendix removed when I was 18. It is a 4 inch scar even with my belly button that looked absolutely horrid before I got pregnant. Now that it has been through three pregnancies.... oh my, horrid is not even the word!

Since I am done having babies, I would want to get my scar taken care of.

  • I'd get a breast reduction. No matter how much weight I lose I always have enormous boobs. In college I was 134 lbs with 34 DD boobs... impossible to find cute shirts that fit! Right now they're G's and I'm really scared that they'll just be huge pancakes after I'm done breastfeeding.

DH and I have agreed that once we're done having kids and I'm all done BFing I can get it done if I still want to.

  • I have to agree with pp on the breast reduction. My boobs went from a D to an E in the first 8 weeks of pregnancy and now they are hurting again, DH wants to have 3 kids but I told him if the next one is also a boy we are done with 2, anyways I would never do anything before I was done having kids but after we are done yeah this is a definite possibility I would be so happy with a full C rather than the full D pre-pregnancy.

  • Definately a tummy tuck - after 3 csections it just isnt going to look like it use to!

  • I'd take either a breast reduction or more likely a breast lift.  I have had huge boobs since I got them in at 13.  With each kid, they get huge, I breastfeed, they shrink (more like wilt) when I stop and they are showing their age with the pump up (bigger with each pregnancy) and then they reduce. After DS2 I actually got into a true C and was so happy, but they were flabby (no, I don't want to look like I'm still 20 in the bust, but not coving half my torso would be good).

DH said that if I want it done after the babies, he's got no issues with it.  Luckily, he immediately follows that up with he is still attracted to me while/after carrying his boys.  Best part is...he means it!

  • After I'm done having babies I would love to have a breast lift. I'm sure these DD's are going to have seen better days after a few kiddos!
  • Probably breast implants but we will see how my stomach looks after the babies are born!
  • Well I've got 3 ideas.

Trim a little off the inside of my thighs. I've always had a little extra meat there.

Get rid of my little poochy stomach thing that I've always had, even when I was in shape and worked out multiple times a week. I can only imagine what its going to be like post babies.

And a breast lift. I've always been most self-conscious of my ta-ta's.

  • I've already made DH promise me that after I'm done birthin' and nursin' as many babies as we're going to have, I get a boob job.  I don't know if that means reduction, lift, or implants.  My boobs have yoyo-ed in size so much over the past couple of years.  :(
  • I'd get a boob job....for me, this means getting a breast reduction and a lift. I've always had a large chest and it's always been hard bathing suit shopping, bra shopping, etc. Getting pregnant it's gotten even worse b/c of course they've grown. They're out of control at this point. I'm not really a "Big" girl otherwise so they just look huge and out of place. Plus, they were already sagging before I got pregnant and I can only imagine what they'll look like after I breastfeed. I just want some C cup perky boobs. : )

  • I would have a tummy tuck to fix my abdominal muscles from diastasis recti After we have our children I may very well get one if exercise doesn't fix it and DH already knows this. OB said I shouldn't have the "mom pooge" problem this time around but she mentioned it does get worse with each child if it isn't corrected.

  • Ok don't laugh, but I'd get a knee lift. Yup, I said it, a knee lift. I have what I call fat knees. I carry all my weight in my hips, ass and thighs, and I have a terrible time tightening up my quads and when I do it just makes my thighs bigger. I think it would end up being thigh lipo.  :) This of course would never happen, but its what I'd do if I could :)

  • Breast reduction for sure. I was a 34G pre-pregnancy and I'm a 36I now. Who knows how big I'll get when I'm BFing. Anyway, I'm waiting until I'm done having kids and definitely having it done.

You said it so much better than I did. This sounds like me exactly.

  • Oh I have no idea... I would just like something to remove the cellulite and stretch marks from my butt, thighs and anywhere else they're going to turn up lol
I have no idea how my tummy is going to look, so I don't want to waste my wish on that... and I was in training bras before I got pregnant, now I'm a 34 B.. so i'm not too upset about those haha

I had mine removed at 11yrs old. I wound up getting and infection and they had to do a second surgery. I look like a lopsided bag of hay. My scar has always look horried to me but even more so after after being prego!
