  I'm not opposed to acupuncture, herbs, etc, I do it all. And I too think food has a lot to do with health and wellness and is too often overlooked as a cause of ailments, but I don't think improved eating alone is going to fix most infertility problems. 

  And to be honest, I find Clomid and other meds that mess with your hormones to be much more invasive than say, IUI alone, so it seems like a strange line in the sand to me (not that I am opposed to meds, I am the one pushing for them for us on this next cycle, I just know that there is a possiblity it will make the situation worse, not better).  The risks associated with hormones in your body are much greater and more severe than the risks associated with IUI, which essentially is only a possibility of infection (which my RE has never seen happen).

  As for birth control, I'm never going on it again.

  Unfortunately, with 2 blocked tubes, nothing is ever going to meet if we do not use tranditional treatments for IF. Since our only option is IVF, the one thing I got excited about is never having to use BC again! However, since my tube issue is caused my endmetrosis, I will have to go back on birth control to keep the endo in check.

   

  I wish I was able to control IF through other ways, but unfortunately it isn't an option if we ever want kids.

  After 18 months TTC, our 2nd IUI brought us our BFP! Stick baby stick!
