I didn't mean to start that run-away train! Sorry!
My new UO: I don't like the baby shoes with squeakers in them. I find them obnoxious and I'm pretty sure if E ever wore them our dog would think she was just a big squeaker toy to play with!
I'm not even going near the first one. I am too late and don't even want to get all up in that sh!t.
My UO is that I can't stand American Idol. I've only watched one episode like 8 years ago, and just can't stand the bad singing, the nasty judging and Paula Abdul...can't take her (even though she's gone now). It's a waste of my time.
Phew...I'm glad I got that off my chest. I've been carrying that around for the better part of a decade.

I think Jenelle from Teen Mom has a point. Her mother b!tches at her to take care of the baby but she henpecks everything she does and takes over. Jenelle's still an @ss but her mom is a moron

I don't like it either... DH and I were really into it the first year but after that I feel like its just redundant and I can't stand it. I really hated how it became a thing for people to boo Simon but he was the only person telling the truth.

I agree with the American Idol bit. Never got into it... and the only reason I ever know what is going on with it is because the radio show I listen to on my way to work talks about it A LOT.
I hope I didn't come across as making fun of people's accents. I know I got into the discussion about pronunciation of "bag" by Wisconsinites. If I did come across as making fun of accents - I didn't mean to!

My UO is that I love McDonald's chicken nuggets. Gross I know but I have always loved them and I eat them with honey. I don't eat fast food very often but if we are on the road or something and we are going to go to fast food McD's is always my first choice. I must have pretty good restraint though because we live like 2 blocks from a McDonald's and we never go to it...Yay, go me!

I totally agree with this!
My other UO is that I totally judge my SIL for giving her 3 year old a bottle. (Maybe this is more a confession?) DD is not 3 and I haven't had to take the bottle away from her, so I have no business judging, but I do. IMO, bottles are gone by 18 months.
I remember my UO... baby shoes are stupid. Why pay for shoes when they can't walk. Gifts are one thing, but I won't be buying shoes until he needs them. Though I'm fighting the urge to buy him some Sperry's so he can match his daddy this spring. Catch 22 much???

I'm sad because we just got Sophie the Giraffe in the mail and I didn't realize she squeaks. One of our dogs is a fanatic for squeakers and now I feel like DS can't use it if the dog is in the house because I'm afraid she'll try to grab Sophie from him and hurt him or something. Consumer FAIL

Really? 17 degrees for me is a good reason for my baby to have some leather wrapped around cotton socks. yep. Not expensive shoes, i'm talking a 5 dollar pair of shoes from walmart. They are made for a reason.

Sophie the Giraffe sits on a shelf in our house, too! I still catch our puppers eyeing her, longing to chew her to pieces!
I am going to re-state mine, I think it may have gotten lost in all the other posts.
UO: I think it should be a requirement for people who receive gov't aid to get birth control shots and take mandatory drug tests in order to continue to receive their benefits. After all, why allow them to reproduce if they can't support the children they already have?

I agree with this too! I was watching last weeks episode, and DH (who wasn't really paying attention) even said something about it. I would be annoyed to DEATH if my mother came after me every second and criticized or changed what I did with DS. And I'm a 31 year old woman. It's no surprise to me that a 17 year old with authority issues anyway is threatening to kick her a$$.

So people should be allowed to continue to have children, even though they cannot support them? I work with several people who continue to take advantage of the system. I understand that there are people who genuinely need the help, but there are twice as many that don't.

Yes they do, but we don't support them. Obviously that wasn't a factual based statement. This may be an ignorant statement, it was moreso a vent about my co-worker and SIL who just continue to pop out children and refuse to put their children's illegal immigrant fathers on the birth certificate, so that they can receive gov't aid.

Well, people being government assistance doesn't bother me that much, regardless of what they do with that money. I wasn't aware, however, that having a child with an illegal immigrant prevents you from getting government aid.
Also, there are so many other areas where the government is misusing our money that piss me off way more. ::cough::IraqWar::cough::

I don't like babies. Never have, and now that I have one I know for sure I never will. Don't get me wrong, I love DS and would do anything for him. But... I don't like dealing with him. I loooove toddlers and teens (yeah I'm weird) but if we have another kid, I am not the one taking a year off, it's going to be DH.

So what if someone had kids while they were working a great job and then lost their job all of a sudden? They should have to get a birth control shot? (Btw, the Depo shot, if that is what you're talking about, totally messed up my body. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.)
