New position while pregnant?

Just wanted to get some opinions on this ...

A week ago, I was approached about whether I would be interested in a transfer to a different division of my company with a new type of job.  I wouldn't really classify it as a promotion, just different.

A couple days ago, I found out I was pregnant.

Do I automatically have to turn down the transfer?

Do I have to report my very new pregnancy to those involved?

Or is this one of those things that they can't let be a factor?

  • Ditto pp.

I took a new position, which was a big promotion, when I was pg with DD. I had the interview the same day I found out I was pg.  I did not tell them when I interviewed.

It was an excellent move for me, I have NEVER regretted it--especially because I knew I did not want to stay where I was and if I had passed up the opportunity when it came along, who knew when I would get the chance again?  Definitely weigh the pros and cons, but if it were me, I would keep you pg to yourself until you've made your decision.

Or is this one of those things that they can't let be a factor? They can not hire or fire you based on this.

I didnt just transfer I switched companies at 5 months, I told the HR Manager and my boss once I accepted the offer. If it is what you want go for it!
