Hi. DH and I are TTC #1. We met one another later in life (I just turned 38,DH will be 38 later this year) got married in 2008, bought a home last year, and have been waiting to fill it ever since! I also sometimes lurk/post on the TTC 35+ board. We got a BFP this past July that ended in a CP. Since then no luck and we now find ourselves scheduled for our first RE appt. tomm. afternoon. to set up testing and hopefully get answers/plan going forward. I look foward to getting to know you on this board, providing support, & starting this next phase of the TTC journey.
Re: Intro...new here
Welcome, sorry you have to be here
What clinic are you going to? Hope you get some answers you can feel comfortable with moving forward. Good luck tomorrow.

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.

I'm stupid. You're smart. I was wrong. You were right. You're the best. I'm the worst. You're very good-looking. I'm not attractive. - Happy Gilmore

Hi 99luftballoons. I am going to Columbia CWRC - it is in-network for my health insurance.
Thanks everyone for the welcome & well wishes!
A bunch of us here are going to NYC clinics, that's why I asked. I know all about in-network issues- we ended up choosing Cornell and our RE is in-network, but the clinic itself isn't
So I don't pay for any RE visits, b/w, monitoring, etc, but we pay for the IUIs itself until we hit the deductible. Strange system, but so far we really like Cornell.
Good luck at Columbia, I hope you are happy there (and most importantly, that they get you pregnant soon
)!!
Yeah, the insurance maze can be crazy...I think I went cross-eyed trying to read my health insurance booklet with a fine toothed comb trying to navigate all of the different paths/scenarios, what's covered, what's not. I'm sure my insurance company has me on a "do not pick up the phone if this chick calls" list!!! LOL
They sure don't make it easy!! I'm glad that you're finding a good fit with Cornell- I am sure that the right fit can definitely make a difference in what is already a stressful situation. Wishing you good luck on your journey as well!!
