One Sick Baby (suggestions?)

One of our babies was coughing last night...how he got sick I have no clue bc they are never taken out of the house and we screen anyone that comes in the house to make sure they're healthy.

I took him upstairs and ran the hot shower to breathe the steam, what else can I do?  He's not coughing all the time and doesn't seem to be miserable (still smiling and cooing) but he's sleeping on me right now and snoring...poor baby.

I'm terrified of RSV but they have had 2 of their synagis shots (get the 3rd on Monday)

    Poor baby. You can try and protect them but sometimes the germs sneak in. Someone (like you or DH even) could have been exposed to a cold but not gotten sick from it but your LO doesn't have a lot of immunity yet and did. Hayden got a cold from DH at 3 weeks and I totally freaked. A few things that I have found that work are elevating their crib mattress (i used a rolled up towel under one end). It doesn't have to be much. Another thing that helps is Baby Vicks. Rub that on his chest and the bottoms of his feet and it helps with breathing. Lastly, since your LO's are over 3 months old, Vicks Vapor Bath is also helpful. It also helps their breathing. GL! Having a sick LO is never fun. I hope that the other 2 don't get it.

    Do you have a humidifier? If not, I suggest you get one because you're going to be using it alot in the next coming years. I have the crane (looks like a frog) which I got from BRU but Target and Walmart carry them as well.

    Does he have reflux? Maybe it is an irritation from that making him cough and not an illness? Just a thought!

    Hope he gets better quick and no one else gets sick!
