appointment #1/2 today

So I have my first real appointment with my OB office today.  I am switching doctors, so I am very excited to meet the doctors at this firm.  I had a 8 week u/s done at my old doctors office with a tech (with no doctors visit).  So I think this is officially my first appointment.  I know there will be tons of blood work done and questions and I am hoping they will try and use the doppler.  Do you think they will be able to hear the HB this early?  Good luck to all who have their appointments today and tomorrow.

    My doctor used doppler on Tuesday, I was 9w3d and he found the heartbeat!!!  So you definitely have a chance!

    Yeah, there is a lot of bloodwork involvedConfused

    My OB told me that they generally check for the hb around week 12, but if you are "slighter" then they can find it earlier. I wouldn't be too concerned if they don't find it this early, the baby is still so tiny!

    Both my sis-in-law and I had appts with the same OB at 11w 2 days, and they found both baby heartbeats, so earlier is certainly possible. Good luck!

    Good luck! I remember you replied to my post about my first appointment on Monday. My OB was able to hear the heartbeat with no problem, and I was 9 weeks 6 days. It was amazing! Don't worry if they can't find it yet though, before they tried looking for it they told me repeatedly that it was early to hear it.
