I had my first u/s (day 4 of stims). RE said I am coming along nicely, but to be honest I was a little disappointed. He said I had 9 good sized and 5 that were a little smaller. I was hoping for a higher number of "good sized" eggs.
Being that this is my first cycle, I am curious to know if the number of "good eggs" is a good indicator of the number of mature eggs that will be retrieved. Thoughts??
Re: First u/s - egg maturity Q
My antral follie count on cd3 showed 25 follies, by cd13 the nurse only counted 9 mature follies. This was after stimming for 10 days and I was disappointed. Sometimes I think some follies hide other follies or they get squished together. At my egg retrieval, they got 18 eggs. I think 14 sounds like a great number. The goal is to grow your follies slow, steady and at the same rate! Everyone is different and in the end you want good quality eggs:) Good luck!
I think that sounds great! I had 8 good sized follies on day 3 of stims and some smaller ones and I ended up with 12 eggs at ER.
Good Luck!
I think I went for the first check after 5 days of stims, and I had a lot of eggs around just 10 mm. It's too early to tell your mature number yet, though. I hope things progress well for you!
It took 5 failed IUIs and a failed IVF, but our FET worked!
