I have this old weird friend, on FB and this morning she posts pictures of her dead grandmother in her casket. Im not sure how i feel about this. It makes me a bit uncomfortable.. I think this crosses a line. Of course no one as commented on them..
am i the only one who thinks you dont need to post pictures of your dead family memebers, at their funeral.. in the casket?

The Chaos of Six!
I woudn't like it. I don't think my deceased g-ma would like it either.
Oh well, to each their own.
Go Phils!!
At my dads Funeral, i didnt take pictures either... because i didnt want to remember him that way.
I'm terrified of dead bodies too. I get really bad anxiety if I have to go to a wake or funeral. Even seeing pictures freaks me out though. One of my cousins put up a picture of his friend who passed away. It was randomly placed in an album titled "Friends". It totally freaked me out.
Yeah, it is.. But i think babies are a little more.. "okay" than anything else.. But still.. a bit creapy none the less.
Creepy! Death in a family is a personal thing...you don't share that on FB, thats just weird.
LOL
Haha
.
It doesn't really creep me out, because really it's just a body, skin and bones, yadda yadda. However, I think the whole open casket funeral thing is weird, how we dress the body up, put makeup on it, and pretend it's actually the person. To me, that body laying there is not them, so I couldn't see myself wanting to have pictures of their dead body to look at. However, I guess if that's someone's way of having closure or whatever, to each their own.
I find pictures of a still born baby/one who died shortly after birth, etc. taken in the hospital after it happened to be completely different. Those are the only pictures they will ever have of them holding their baby. Not creepy to me at all. I don't think I would ever want to see funeral pictures of a baby though. The whole concept is just heartbreaking.
