Vacation suggestions .... by car with 2 year olds

My girs are only 2 ( I have twins!) but i wanted to try to plan a weekend where we can go on a mini vacation that we would drive to.  Could be in within a 1-2 hour drive from Boston - I just want a place where there will be something for 2 year olds to do

 does anyone have any suggestions???

    Go to the Cape, especially in the off season.  May is great because you can layer them up and them can still play on the beach.  Some hotels have indoor pools. There's also that Children's museum.  And no crowds or traffic
