3rd Trimester

Who else is a total nursery slacker?

Yup - still haven't cleaned that room out.  Guess I'm waiting on the clean sweep team to show up Stick out tongue

But at least I ordered the frames for the artwork we have today...

Anyone else way behind like me?

Re: Who else is a total nursery slacker?

  • Me! I haven't even unpacked all my presents from my baby shower on Sept. 20! Everything is still in the gift bags they came in. I am planning on getting a lot done when I start my maternity leave two weeks before my due date.

  • Well we dont have one yet so I guess I fall in that category! lol

We are trying to move within the month so maybe by the time the baby is born she will have a place to sleep!

  • ugh I am such a procrastinator!!!
  • Im not but then again I nested like crazy and did everything already! We also just moved like 3 weeks ago so I just wanted to make sure everything was unpacked before munchkin comes.

When are you due?  Have you found any potential places to live yet?

  • Me me me!

We finally made the decision last week to move out of our room to the upstairs.  We didn't really want to go thru the hassle, but also didn't want her with us for a long period of time.  Now we have to clean/get rid of stuff upstairs before we can even move our stuff up there. The crib is still in pieces in ds's closet.  I have a crib skirt and two sheets for her new room.  Pretty pathetic!  With ds I was so more organized!!  Poor #2!

  • Oh I am way behind...I haven't even had my showers yet. We have the room painted and that is it. Literally. Sometimes I think about it and panic. When is the nesting going to kick in??
  • eh. I'm pretty behind. The walls are blank and decor needs help but we have all the important stuff clean an put away and the furniture is put together. My sister told me that she's help me weeks ago but she hasn't come by so nothings been done that I wanted to do. I'm being induced in 2 weeks if I don't go into labor before then(so that dh could be present at the delivery). At this point I'm ready to give up on decorating. I don't think that little Molly will mind so much.
  • Thats such a loooong story, lol.  I am due in January (lease up in Feb when DH will be in BNOC for a month) and we have people willing to take over lease but it has to be NOW so I am in a mad scramble trying to find a decent 3 bedroom not in a crack neighborhood in this crack town or nearby crack town (military).  So hopefully within the next week or so we will be moving! HA god I am not ready for any of this, lol
  • Oh, yeah. I'm in this category. We have been working on our son's new room downstairs and his room now is going to be the baby's room. Last week my sister asked me what we're doing with the nursery and I said 'nothing, yet!'. The crib is at my SIL's still, we don't have a changing table or bassinet, and the car seat is at my sister's house 2 1/2 hours away. I felt some cramping the other morning and thought, OMG, if this baby comes now, we are SO not ready!!!

  • ours is not cleaned out, but our painter is coming wednesday, so we have no choice but to do it tomorrow heheh
  • I cleaned out my office--which will be the nursery now, last weekend. My husband painted today and the crib is being put together tomorrow and the rest of the furniture unboxed. With my son it was done for many weeks-probably months before his due date, really because we had all winter and not much else going on. This time since it was spring and summer and we are never home it just wasnt high on the to do list.
  • We haven't done anything yet.  We are in no rush to lose our office.  Plus we still have no idea where we are going to put everything.  Not to mention we don't have any furniture for the baby's room yet anyway.
  • Me!  My 'nursery' is still very much a guest room.  With a full closet loaded with random crap.  And I haven't even found a crib/dresser that I like - let alone ordered it or set it up. :) I do have art, frames and a mobile though.  lol.
  • Ours still isn't finished.  It's functional and cute, but I haven't gotten the glider yet, and the closet needs some work.

  • I think I'm the most behind of all those that have posted, lol. We still need to paint the room, put together the crib, wash the bedding, put in closet organizer, and just put things away in general. I'm thinking the nursery will be finished after the baby is born.

  • I;m a few days ahead of you.  Other than painting the room, we're not really planning on doing anything until the baby arrives.  We're not even moving into our house for another few weeks.  I'm not too concerned though.  The nursery will eventually get done.
