bloody show from pelvic exam?

Gross, I know, but pregnancy seems to strip you of all embarrassment, no?

 I had a bloody show this morning (Thursday) and I'm wondering if it's from my pelvic exam on Tuesday. I saw a little blood then, also. Would I still be affected by that exam 2 days later?

 I'm also cramping really badly in my lower back!

    Well "bloody show" happens at the start of labor. What usually happens after an exam is spotting, not bloody show. You don't have a ticker so we don't know when you're due...

    Feb 2- on the day of the exam, it was just like menstrual spotting. Today, it's more constant blood-streaked-mucus. Every time I use bathroom, there's more.

    Spotting is normal after an exam. What you described sounds like a bloody show and since you are 38 weeks along, I would treat it as such. Call your OB and let them know what's going on.

    If it is bloody show, they'd still have no reason to see you if your labor hasn't started, right?
