achase... jeans question... Not at all SP related!

So, I know you're into designer jeans :)

How much better IS the quality and fit?  I was doing some lunchtime shopping, and looking through the clearance racks at 7 for All Mankind, and Miss Me, and so on...  Thought about at least trying on the 7s so that the next time Gilt Group or Rue La La have them I know what size to buy.

  • Frankly, I'm afraid to try them on - like it might be some life-changing experience and I'll never be able to wear $15 Old Navy jeans again Stick out tongue

  • I love, love, LOVE designer jeans.  My first pair were 7 for All Mankind, which I bought 7 years ago and I still wear them. They look the same as they did when I bought them.  I used to wear Gap, etc., but they were always shrinking, getting holes, etc.  So I felt I was wasting money throwing them out when they didn't fit anymore or wore badly.

So, in my opinion, it is more efficiant buying designer jeans because the quality and comfort is AMAZING!!

  • im obviously not achase, but designer jeans are totally worth it. i always bought paper cloth and true religion. i have pairs from high school im hoping to fit in again after this pregnancy. i love how these jeans last forever!

  • SOOOOO much better.  here's an example: I STILL have the second pair of jeans that I ever bought (the only reason I don't have the first is because they got hemmed too short) and I bought them in 2005.  They are excellent, excellent quality.

Plus the fit is amazing.  With other jeans, they will fit perfectly when they come out of the dryer and then loosen up and end up looking ridiculous and being uncomfortable by the end of the day.  With designer jeans, the ticket is to buy them tight.  Tighter than you would want them to be.  We're talking, you can barely button them tight.  But they will stretch a bit and be perfect.

I'm so happy you are thinking about buying some.  Sheesh, I need some help with my addiction problems :)

  • I can't fit in the official designer jeans like 7, True Religion etc, but I will say I love Silvers. I wear the hell out of them. The current pair I own have lasted me 2 years so far.

I LOVE Silvers. I have been wearing them since I was in high school. I also got a pair of Joe's (or Jo's I'm not even sure!) while I was pregnant and loved them! I am going to look into some more nonmaternity ones!

Paying the extra $$$ is totally worth it for the fit and quality!

ps. I know I am not Achase but I was lurking! :)

  • I appreciate the input from all of you!

You've convinced me to give them a try.  I might start with Silvers, I like the way they look!

I LOVE Silvers! I could wear them for a few years and they would still look great. I would probably still be wearing them if I could fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes!
