Nursery Quotes...

I've been doing a lot of research on nurseries and how I am going to decorate our LO's. I found this awesome website for ideas. I saw a lot of quotes on the walls. Does anyone plan on putting a nursery quote on the wall of their nursery? What are they? Any suggestions?

Re: Nursery Quotes...

  • We are doing a Dr. Seuss theme and will probably use something from one of the books.  He's my favorite children's author and I love the bright colors.  Plus PBK had an awesome set!

  • What a great little site!  Can't wait to devour those pics today and bore hubby with my top pics when he get home LOL...

As for the quotes I haven't really considered it...but I think I'd google some quotes online for inspiration...

Can't wait to see everyone's pics of their rooms...

  • I am pretty lucky my DH has a vinyl decal plotter and can do any font/quote that I would like. So I am trying to think of something original and catchy. I am trying to think of songs that DH and I have and pick lyrics out of them.

  • We are doing a tree and either a decal or a wall hanging that says "first we had each other, then we had you, now we have anything."
  • For our first daughter, we had a prayer over her crib. Now these two will be sharing a room and furniture will be moved so I am going to look for a new one to go over each of their beds.
  • Yes! :) I found a cute one on etsy the other day for our DD "Yes you are the fairest of them all" we're still looking around but we thought that one was adorable!
  • We just ordered our wall decal and it says "Always Kiss Me Goodnight" and  it has 2 hearts!

  • This is such a cute idea to decorate the nursery - I started looking them up now...we have an underwater theme so maybe a cute love quote about the ocean :)

    Thanks for the idea :)

  • Great site - thanks for sharing!

Our baby's room is covered in wood paneling and has a dormer style ceiling, so I don't think we'll be able to do decals, as much as I love them. We're going to paint the dark panelling green and go from there. Look forward to exploring these pages for ideas!

  • I've seen these Dr. Seuss quotes, and I love them!

"You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

    You can steer yourself

    any direction you choose."

     And...

    "The more that you read,

    the more you will know.

    The more that you learn,

    the more places you'll go!"

(I like that one for a 'reading area'... maybe where we have a rocking chair/bookshelves.)

  • Oh! I also like this Emerson quote, for a play area: "It's a happy talent to know how to play."
