places to take a one year old?

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get suggestions for places to take our soon-to-be one year old in the city or close by. I was thinking like an indoor play gym but, I'm not sure if they are quite suitable for him. He's a good crawler but not yet walking on his own. TIA!

    either one is fine. DS's first birthday is sunday and since it's just the three of us up here we're obviously not throwing a big birthday party--our plan was to just take him somewhere fun where he could play around and then do cake & presents at our house.

    K's loved eagle's nest since before she was one. It's not free after a year, but they have a specific toddler/infant play area.
