40 weeks today

And I feel like LO will never make her appearance. At my doctors appointment yesterday found out I am only a fingertip dilated and 50% effaced. My doc said that if I keep this progress then they will be probably be inducing me sometime after next Wednesday. That really doesn't inspire much confidence. I can't imagine being this uncomfortable for another week or more.

    Unfortunately due dates are not exact but at least you know your baby will be full term. I know it stinks no matter what people say. I hope you go into labor soon!! :0)

    I am right here with you. I go to OB today to see if there is any progression...hopefully there is...and our babies come soon! :)

    Your not alone...I'm hoping to get an induction date tomorrow because LO doesn't seem to want to come and I haven't had any contractions, nothing.....

    Don't feel frustrated - you never know!  I have been 50% effaced and 2 cm for 3 weeks with contractions on and off and NOTHING!  With my DD, I was high, thick and closed on Friday and went into labor Sunday evening. 

    I can understand your frustration though - I spoke to the MW on Monday (day after 40 weeks) and she said wait until my 40w4d appt Thursday - have NST as well.  She doesn't seemt to eager to induce!

    Don't worry, I have been fingertip dialated for my last 2 appointments, my doctor thought I would have to be induced as well if LO doesn't come on his own by the end of this week. But I started having contractions 2 days ago, and now they are about 6-8 minutes apart, and I just lost my MP...

    ...so you never know, you can start pre-labor at anytime!

    I was completely convinced I would need to be induced when I hit 40 weeks.  I went to my due date appointment and had only progressed to 2cm (after being 1 for 3 weeks) and ended up going into labor midnight that night.  It can still happen!  GL! :)

    I feel for you.  I still havent had my baby yet and my due date was the 11th.  I am still only dilated to one.  I have had an NST and baby is still doing wonderful so doc doesnt want to do an induction yet and I am totally on board with that.  I dont want an induction either.  But my next appt. is on monday the 24th and if there is still no baby then the doctor will schedule the induction.  Probably for the 27th, so I thought my baby would be two weeks old by then and may not even have him yet!  Indifferent
